The Fierro family held their annual Christmas Show and Toy Giveaway today at its open-air market at 6330 Garfield Avenue in Commerce. Hundreds of families from the area enjoyed a free puppet show, food, and a toy giveaway.

Martin Fierro is a local businessman, philanthropist, and family man. He was born in Chihuahua, Mexico, and moved to the United States over 35 years ago. He and his wife are raising three kids in the city of Downey.

Martin started a small business building wood cabinets, moldings, and trim for single and multi-family homes. He expanded that small business with his wife into a full-fledged construction company specializing in building luxury homes. To this day, the company continues building both homes and commercial buildings throughout Southern California.

Fierro’s corporation, Fenix Entrepreneur, Inc., operates various successful businesses, including a well-known open-air market on the border of Commerce and Bell Gardens. This open-air market has allowed small, independent business owners and their families to sell their merchandise in a safe and well-located site for several years.

CCM Commissary is Fierro’s newest project and will provide storage space, complete support services, and maintenance for up to 120 full-size food trucks. CCM Commissary will also feature a high-quality meat market, a bakery, and fine spirits store.

This site will be a one-stop shop for the catering industry. CCM Commissary will also sell and finance food trucks to culinary entrepreneurs looking to start or expand their existing food truck business.

The Fierro family has never forgotten where they come from and consistently give back to the communities that their businesses serve. Every year, the couple donates thousands of toys, turkeys, backpacks, and school supplies to families and children in cities such as Maywood, Commerce, Bell Gardens, Montebello, and Los Angeles. Their philanthropic efforts have also benefited thousands of students attending the Montebello Unified School District, which covers many of the cities mentioned above.

Every December, the Fierro family donates over 700 turkeys and 1,000 toys at their open-air market in Commerce alone. The open-air market and its charity events are open to the public and free of charge. The Fierro family’s generosity extends south of the border, providing shoes, clothing, and funding for educational programs for several orphanages.
